The staff is the best, they help you for anything that you could need (even let you an umberella or a map)
The area is bad, I get a stone "flying" to my head when I was in the street and the people that you find just around the Riad are always horrible! They try to confuse you and tell you that everything is closed and that you are lost (although knowing that nothing is closed because the Riad is opened 24h!)if the Riad was in a corner of the Square El Fna it would be the very best!! But going there or out of there it was a nightmare
Breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful, though no english was spoken. The pool is awesome and the terrace very comfortable.
The hotel is a little far from the main square and we had a little trouble walking back through the labyrinth that is Marrakesh. Also, they don't serve any food other then breakfast, so don't count on a relaxing night in.
The staff was really friendly, they helped were they could. The rooms were very beautiful!
The only negative point is the location, but I don't think this is a reason not to come here. Because of the location you really find out how life is in Marrakech, and the taxi's are really cheap!
Very comfortable calm hotel. Charming proprietor, a real haven from the bustle of the city
In a very poor area no problem for us but perhaps for adventurous travellers
Friendly owner (drew us a map and organised a lovely taxi driver to take us to the square on the first night), lovely room (which he upgraded for us free of charge as it was quiet), great sun terrace, gorgeous building
Location - difficult to find initially (we had to pay a local to show us the way and he tried to scam us for €20, we paid him €7), 30 min walk from main square, but after the 2nd day we were confident to walk there and back for the rest of the holiday and it was no longer an issue. Just be confident with directions - you will find a lot of locals trying to point you the wrong way so they can then show you the right way and charge you. Just ignore them. Organise an airport pickup if you go here, it will be worth it.
the room was big with nice morrocain- style furniture. The bathroom is integrated in the room and comes with a nice design. The room was clean. On the huge terrace they have nice furniture to chill.
The location of the Riad at the end of the medina is not as central as mentioned. The owner was just interested in getting his money! We had to leave early the next day - to get a breakfast at 7 was almost impossible and was served with swearing! Not guest- friendly at all. When we left they didn't replied to our "good-bye". Not recommendable at all!
Inside was safe and relaxing. Authentic interior decor and traditional food. Accomodating staff and friendly people.
The location was remote and difficult to access. Rooftop terrace not in use as covered in stored materials, hence nowhere outside to relax. The pool is more of a water feature and not readily useable. Lack of info on tours and places of interest. Really need French to communicate.
The hotel's interior is quite nice and rooms give a good sense of Moroccan atmosphere.
1. Extremely bad location for this hotel. Impossible to find on your own and horrible neighborhood around it. 2. Absolutely no English-speaking staff and not willing to understand you.
The breakfast was nice and the fact that we could get to the Hotel at whichever time we wanted.
The Hotel is located a bit far (20 minutes walking) from El Fna Plaza. After sundown the narrow streets surrounding the hotel do not inspire a great deal of safety. Not advisable for small groups!
the staff is very helpfull, giving good tips for shopping, hammam.good food on request
to far from the place Jeema El Fna (20 min)
Nice room with excellent bed and sufficient space. Very well equiped bathroom: even a hairdryer available! Friendly and very helpful staff.
Staff was friendly and helpful, but also very quiet and modest.
The terrace......but then again, most Riads in Marrakech have them anyway! The women who work there (as usual) were lovely!! (Español) la terraza y las chicas que trabajan en el hotel....aunque casi todos los riads de Marrakech tienen terraza!
It says its in the medina......but its not the greatest part of it and its a hassle to get there! At night it can get quite scary, defenately not for single travelers!! After having confirmed with Patrick(the french owner of the Riad who is never there) by email a pick up at the airport, nobody got there! So I had to find the way by myself!(2 Hours) Breakfast is only served till 10 and I was woken up by Braim to remind me of that!not apreciated!!as many Riads serve breakfast at any time! The living room is actually Braims home,as he sleeps and lives there,so they should take the pictures out!!as travelers can not use this sapce!! The bathrooms are very dark. For the price, you can find with time ,better location! Service and rooms.
Great hotel with excellent service. Room was as per description of the hotel. Great service with all you could ask for in a hotel. Literally an Oasis in the Medina (see comments on location)
The only issue with the hotel is the location. It is situated in the northern part of the Medina which means that travellers have to go through the back lanes of the Medina and you are guaranteed to get lost. This will invariably result in you being accosted by young men wanting to 'show' you the way and are only doing it for some money. Having said that note that this issue applies to most Riads in the Medina and therefore if you are going to stay in teh Medina area the only thing to do is arm yourself with a good map and a general good sense of direction. It would really help if the hotel printed off a good map with directions marked to Jamaa El Fnaa - the map handed to us was useful but limited.
very pleasant riad with ultra friendly and helpful host. However, further than expected from the main square
very dificult to found the riad, payment by arrival, no arrangement with the closest parking, etc. i would say the riad doesnt care about their clients.
